BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • If you are prone to cold sores, please let your injector or our office know prior to treatment.

    Always inform your doctor of all medications, including supplements you may be taking as well as your medical history.

    Do not use neurotoxins if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any ingredients, or suffer from neurological disorders. Please inform us if you have any questions about this prior to your treatment.

  • Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks before a special event or vacation.

    Wait 2 weeks after getting any dental work, vaccines or other aesthetic treatments.

    Limit sun exposure to decrease the risk of getting a sun burn.

  • Avoid taking the following medications and supplements for 1 week prior to treatment.

    •Over-the-counter blood thinning medications (Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aleve)

    •St. Johns Wort

    •Fish Oil

    •Ginkgo Biloba

    •Primrose Oil

    •Garlic

    •Ginseng

    •Vitamin E

    Please consult your physician before discontinuing any medications or supplements.

  • Avoid hair removal in the treatment area for at least 3 days prior to treatment (waxing, bleaching, tweezing, cream, threading, epilation).

    Avoid using any topical skincare products that may irritate your skin such as Tretinoin, Retin-A, Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Salicylic Acid, or any "Anti-Aging" products for 3 days prior to treatment.

    You may start taking Arnica supplements. (Not required, but can help minimize the risk of bruising.)

  • Avoid alcohol & caffeine for 24 hours prior to treatment minimize bruising.

  • Stay hydrated and eat a light meal to help decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your appointment.

    Arrive to your appointment with a fresh + cleansed face! Avoid makeup if possible.

AFTER YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • Keep upright for at least 4 hours.

    Don’t touch the treated area for at least 12 hours.

    Do not sleep on the treated area.

    Avoid alcohol & caffeine for 24 hours post treatment.

    Avoid wearing hats, headbands & visors for at least 24 hours.

    After 24 hours you may apply makeup.

    Avoid heat, sun, hot tubs & saunas for at least 48 hours.

    Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 48 hours.

    Avoid blood-thinning medications for 48 hours post treatment.

    We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before receiving any other treatments on/around the treatment area.

  • After getting Botox, Jeuveau or Dysport injections it is normal to have redness, tenderness and swelling. These side effects usually disappear within 1 day.

    Bruising is common and typically goes way within about 2 weeks.

    Keep in mind it can take a full 7-10 days for Botox, Jeuveau and Dysport to full kick in!

Dermal Fillers

  • After getting dermal filler injections it is normal to have redness, tenderness, itching and swelling. These side effects usually only last for 3-5 days.

    Bruising is common and typically goes away within about 2 weeks. You may gently apply an ice pack for relief.

    It is normal for 1 area or side to be more swollen or heal faster than the other.

PDO Threads

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

  • Wait 2 weeks after getting any dental work, vaccines or other aesthetic treatments.

    Limit sun exposure to decrease the risk of getting a sun burn.

  • Avoid drinking alcohol and smoking for least 1 week prior to treatment as they dehydrate the skin. (This will help speed up the recovery process.)

    Avoid taking the following medication and supplements for 1 week prior to treatment.

    We recommend waiting at least 2 weeks before receiving any other aesthetic or dental treatments.

    Tylenol may be used for pain in the first 24 hours.

  • Swelling may be present after the procedure. Use ice packs in 30 minute increments for a few days to reduce swelling. Tylenol can be used for pain in the first 24 hours.
